This beautiful walnut end-grain cutting board is built for a true chef's kitchen. Each board embodies a unique creation with natural variations in wood color and grain pattern. What you see is only the wood's natural beauty (none of our products are stained or dyed), and no two pieces are the same.
The board's end-grain construction is not only resistant to knife scarring but also keeps your blades sharper for longer. Since the cutting goes between the wood fibers rather than through them, the board will not dull your knives as quickly as other types of cutting boards would. Each board is reversible for use on both sides and has finger grips for easy carry or use as a serving tray.
All the wood provided by our supplier is certified for sustainable harvesting, including from the NHLA and Appalachian Hardwood Association.
FINISH:
After being carefully handcrafted, each board is rubbed with 0000 (ultrafine) steel wool and triple-coated with food-safe polymerized linseed oil and beeswax for long-lasting protection. A set of care instructions is provided with the board to help you maintain the board's beauty and durability for many decades.
