Sphero Ollie is an app-controlled robotic tubular car. Orbotix announced the Ollie on January 5, 2014 as Sphero Project 2B. Ollie is the first robot from Orbotix that is not shaped like a ball. Ollie is not charged via magnetic insulation, but via Mini USB located at the back of the robot. Ollie uses Bluetooth LE for more faster data transfer, increased distances, and auto-connection.
