This PlayPod is an adapted version of our original "Silly Scissors" PlayPod. Improve your scissors skills with this ‘cutting edge’ PlayPod. Using the self-opening loop scissors*, cut your way through high contrast activity cards. Snip through a crazy maze; create your own puzzle pieces; or build a paper house by carvi.
This PlayPod is an adapted version of our original Silly Scissors PlayPod. Improve your scissors skills with this ‘cutting edge’ PlayPod. Using the self-opening loop scissors*, cut your way through high contrast activity cards. Snip through a crazy maze; create your own puzzle pieces; or build a paper house by carving out the roof, door and windows and connecting the pieces together with washi tape. Grab, peel and place the large colorful stickers for extra fun. This PlayPod is a ‘shear’ delight!
Adaptations from Silly Scissors original PlayPod:
- Lightweight, self-opening loop scissors instead of regular scissors
- All large stickers instead of a combination of large and small stickers
- High-contrast cards - dark lines on light-colored backgrounds
*The loop scissors’ wide handle increases cutting stability and self-opening feature helps reduce hand fatigue making it great for those with a weaker grip, tremors, or finger isolation difficulty. Also, the high contrast activity cards and large vibrant stickers are especially useful for those in the low vision community.
